Is there a new record for the Berlin half marathon?

The run over 21,0975 kilometers comes up with a new best before the start. Big names go into the race on the track – which target a record.
According to the organizer, more than 42,000 participants start at the Berlin half marathon 2025 on Sunday – the run over the streets of the capital will set up a new record before the start.
But even in the race, it is about a new best: a new route record could be set up, especially for women. Favorite for women is Fotyen Tesfay. The Ethiopian has set herself the best time. To do this, she would have to run the 21,0975 km below 1:05 hours. Another big name is also launched by women: the German Olympic participant and two -time European champion Gesa Krause tries over the route that is unusual for her. “The street run is still new territory for me – but it is really fun,” said Krause at the beginning of March after her participation in the half marathon in the Haag, where she set up a new personal best in 1:09:46 hours (you can read more about this here).
