Is Manchester United’s Bellingham replacement coming?

BVB has not yet found a replacement for Jew Bellingham, who has moved to Real Madrid. A private Tunisian radio station is now talking about top talent Hannibal Mejbri.

The 20-year-old is currently under contract at Manchester United. The Tunisian spent last season on loan at Birmingham City, coincidentally Jude Bellingham’s youth club.

As “Mosaïque FM” reports, Borussia Dortmund is said to have approached Manchester United with an offer of around ten million euros. Allegedly, however, head coach Erik ten Hag instructed the club management not to react to this offer until the end of the preparation.

Despite his age: Hannibal has international experience

If the German runner-up intensifies his efforts, there is a risk of a “chewing gum transfer”.

Hannibal is considered a top talent for midfield and at the age of 20 he has already made 24 appearances for the Tunisian national team. At the World Cup in Qatar, he was the youngest Tunisia player to play a ten-minute game in the first group game against Denmark (0-0).

At Manchester United, the right-footed player, who switched from the AS Monaco U18s to the Red Devils for around ten million euros in 2019, has not yet been able to assert himself in the long term. He can only show three appearances for the first team of the English record champions.

Hannibal fits into BVB’s “booty scheme”.

Hannibal, who was born in France, impresses with his dynamism, his class on the ball and his ability to determine the speed of a game.

He made 41 appearances for Birmingham last season. He scored one goal and six assists.

Whether the Tunisian could replace Jude Bellingham in the long run remains to be seen. But he definitely fits into BVB’s “booty scheme”. In addition to Dortmund, Olympique Marseille in particular is said to have expressed an interest.
