FC Schalke 04 has so far experienced an unexpected high in the 2025/26 second division season and only took the top spot in the German lower house of football at the weekend. It’s no wonder that the Royal Blues’ top performers are attracting interest from other clubs. Even the unpopular regional rival Borussia Dortmund is said to have a Schalke workhorse on the list.
