Arjen Lubach has been joking about the death of the pope for two days in a row. A nice and safe religion to mock: at least you can still leave the studio without security. “False!”
The death of Pope Franciscus (88) is a reason for the troubled RTL 4-Satiricus Arjen Lubach to make a continuous jokes about the head of the Catholic Church for two days now. It is of course a bit easy, because with certain other beliefs he would leave this out of his head. Anyway, this is an easy target.
Telekid
Arjen was also joking again yesterday, for example about the idea of royalty fan Justine Marcella to send Prince Jaime to the funeral of the pope. He is the son of Princess Irene and Carlos Hugo de Bourbon de Parme.
The presenter Gierend: “Then you are Carlos and Irene’s son. You call a telekid, I think! I also know what they will run when he comes in the Vatican! (Plays Telekids song, ed.)”
Pope Box III
Furthermore, Arjen jokes that the deceased Pope had a lot with the poor and that everyone calls that the successor of the other Pope always represents a different movement. Then we now get Pope Box III, the presenter is howling. He then shows a pope who is covered with golden chains.
The day before he shows the deceased pope as if he was in the game Grand Theft Auto. ‘Wasted’ can be read in the end. Arjen: “If you want to submit a complaint about this joke? Send a letter to Wim T. Schippersplein 3, 1217 WD, Hilversum, for the attention of: just here.”
False and venomous
Oops, this is a clear sneer back to the much -praised men from just here, who joked in the press release about their comeback: “Satire without advertising, where do you see that nowadays?”
Media journalist Mark Koster in De Telegraaf: “With that he grabbed the big competitor that Lubach tergeed earlier. And so the Easter weekend ended and Hilversum was again as usual and hostile.”
