TEHRAN (dpa-AFX) – In view of the Israeli-American attacks, Iran’s Security Council has advised the population to flee the capital Tehran. Because of the attacks, “you should travel to other towns and cities if possible and while maintaining peace and quiet,” a statement from the Islamic Republic’s powerful security body said.
The committee also said there was no concern about the supply of everyday goods. The population should avoid gatherings in shopping centers as this could pose risks to them. Schools and universities will remain closed until further notice. Banks should remain open. There are restrictions on government services, it was said./arb/DP/stk
