Iranian opposition lawyer not satisfied with prisoner exchange: ‘Black day for the rule of law’

Rik Vanreusel, the lawyer of the Iranian opposition, is not pleased with the prisoner exchange between the Iranian terrorist Assadolah Assadi and Olivier Vandecasteele (42). He said this on Radio 1. Although Vanreusel says he is happy that Vandecasteele can safely return to our country, it is also a “black day for the rule of law”, he says. “This is a victory for cynical power politics. In Iran, the party can already begin.”
