Jane Eyre, Bridget Jones, the “brilliant” Lila and Lenù. We have known many of paper heroines, in classic and contemporary novels. The Heroine of Today Literary Prize is dedicated to female characters who, during the year, have struck and conquered us, one of those characters who remain “attached” to us even when we have finished reading the book, leaving us immersed in its magic.
The literary heroines of 2022
This year we looked for our heroine in books like Madame Vitti, On this side of the river, The crack and the light, Like wind sewn to the earth, My daredevil friend and many others: on iodonna.it you will find all the reports of the jurycomposed of booksellers chosen from all over Italy: Benedetta Andrigo (Nautilus Coop, Mantua), Enza Campino (Tuttilibri, Formia), Maria Laterza (Laterza, Bari), Barbara Pieralice (New Europe, Rome), Eleonora Tassoni (Rinascita, Ascoli) , Manuela Stefanelli (Hoepli, Milan).
Together with them and thanks also to the votes of the readers, we have chosen our heroine of 2022.
Attend the 2022 Heroin Awards
The award ceremony will take place within BookCity, the eleventh edition of the event dedicated to books and reading. Our appointment is for 18 November, at the Grand Hotel et de Milan in via Manzoni 29, at 6.30 pm.
