“Everything. Must. More modern,” says Giny Boer (60) about her first impression of the agency and company when she became CEO of C&A in 2020. And that is exactly what she has done: a new wind works wonders in a family business of 182 years old with a very thick layer of dust on it. Even though change usually also brings uncertainty and chaos and layoffs. But also: new colors, new trousers “with a high waist” and new shops. “Already 850 stores have received a facelift.”
