Solar leadership law: Changes for photovoltaic systems
There will be an important change for operators of new photovoltaic systems from March 2025: The so-called solar leadership law regulates the feed-in of solar power into the network. The aim is to avoid network overloads by reducing top loads and creating incentives for self -consumption. Operators of smaller systems could particularly benefit from this.
Pension adjustment: Less pension for certain groups
Pensioners in the health insurance of the pensioners (KVDR) generally pay contributions to health insurance, half of which are taken over by the German Pension Insurance (DRV). Now an increase of the contributions by 0.8 points to 2.5 percent follows. While employees have paid the higher contributions since January 2025, the changes to pensioners only have an impact from March 2025. The German pension insurance is retained retrospectively, so that the pension payment is reduced accordingly.
Direct train across Germany
From March 8, Deutsche Bahn will start with an additional direct train between Rostock via Berlin, Leipzig and Frankfurt to Stuttgart or Munich. The ICE starts in Munich and runs in Rostock around 10 hours later.
Start of summer time
On the last Sunday in March, the time in Germany will be changed from winter to summer. In the night from Saturday, March 29, on Sunday, March 30th, the time will be presented from 2:00 a.m. to 3:00 a.m.
