The Spanish Rafa Nadal came back this Saturday from an adverse 2-5 in the third set and won 6-2, 1-6 and 7-6 (3) to the American Sebastian Korda, number 38 in the world, to maintain his winning streak (16-0) in 2022 and advance to the third round of the Indian Wells tournament.

Nadal, champion this year of the Australian Open, Melbourne and Acapulco, was on the brink of the abyss, but with a new test of self-improvement and charactercame back from two breaks down in the deciding set and defeated Korda in the tiebreak after a two-hour, 29-minute battle.

The Spaniard, winner of 21 Grand Slam titles, added his 399th victory in the Masters 1,000 and will continue fighting in the Californian tournament for a title that he already won in 2007, 2009 and 2013.
