The jubilee edition of the Ronde van Drenthe is over. The Norwegian Per Strand Hagenes arrived solo this afternoon in the sixtieth edition of the Albert Achterhes Profronde van Drenthe, yesterday afternoon Lorena Wiebes rode to her third consecutive victory in Hoogeveen.
The races were considerably adjusted, cobblestone lanes were avoided due to the winter conditions and the rides were shortened. On Friday, the Drentse Acht van Westerveld course was quickly halted due to the snowfall.
While it was hard for many riders in wintry Drenthe, the cycling weekend did provide some nice pictures.
