An assassination attempt for revenge, a fight with a baseball bat, an argument followed by a knife attack, a brutal debt collector in court. Violence is commonplace in our city.

Clan crime remains one of Berlin’s biggest security challenges. We won’t get any further with the stigmatization ramblings of some politicians.

Of course, just treating the symptoms is not enough. And, of course, social aspects must play a role in combating the causes.

For Friday, the governing Wegner has invited to the security summit. The actual reason was, among other things, a gang rape in Görlitzer Park.

As early as Thursday, the mayors of Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg and Mitte want to present their own concepts for their focal points as a counterweight.

Working together would be better to solve the problems.
