The sitcom “Friends” was filmed from 1994 to 2004. Matthew Perry starred alongside Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc and David Schwimmer. The show ran for ten seasons and was translated into numerous languages. A few years ago, all six got together for a reunion – for which all stars received a salary of millions.

After the show ended, Matthew Perry appears to have continued to have a special connection with Courteney Cox. The two were often seen in private. They played the married couple Chandler and Monica in the series and the actors also had a platonic friendship in real life.

Matthew Perry: Success and private crash

“Friends” was undoubtedly Perry’s biggest success, but he was also seen in other series such as “Ally McBeal”, “Beverly Hills, 90210”, “Scrubs” and “Growing Pains”. In the last few years before his death, however, things had become quieter around him. In his autobiography, Matthew Perry also claimed to have spent millions of dollars on rehab. According to his own statements, the actor was an alcoholic and addicted to pills for years. Therefore, he could hardly remember the filming of the later seasons of “Friends”.

As the LA Times and TMZ report, Matthew Perry was found lifeless in his home. Apparently, after a game of pickleball in the early hours of the morning, he took a dip in the whirlpool, where, based on current knowledge, he could have drowned – no drugs were found in his home and foul play is currently unlikely.
