The SSV Ulm won 1-0 (0: 0) against SpVgg Greuther Fürth. The Swabians on the relegation place thus shorten their gap to Fürth three games before the end of the season to six points.
Maurice Krattenmacher scored the decisive goal in the 62nd minute of play. His long -range shot from 20 meters was slightly deflected and was so unsustainable for Fürth’s goalkeeper Nahuel Noll. The team of coach Robert Lechleiter has celebrated the first away win since September and climbs on the relegation rank 16 at least one night.
Three game days before the end, Ulm passed 29 points to co -promoted Prussia Münster (28), who can counter SV Darmstadt 98 again on Saturday. Fürth is with 35 points. The 14,000 fans got an extremely poor performance of both teams, especially before the break. Ulm performed as carefully after twelve away games without a win as Fürth, which had no longer won six games.
Ulms Tom Gaal, whose attempt was parried by goalkeeper Nahuel Noll from a short distance (27th), had the best chance. After the change of sides, Ulm was getting more and more risk to take three precious points with them. Krattenmacher rewarded his team with the leadership before Fürth blew on the final offensive. Branimir Hrgota, however, only hit the post (68th).
Gießelmann is not afraid
Fürth captain Gießelmann struggled with the defeat. Before the decisive goal, they started disordered and made the field very large. “The deflected shot then fits our last weeks.” In view of the greater danger, he was relaxed. “I have already witnessed many situations and know that we are closed enough.”

Lech leader does not feel any pressure
Ulm coach Robert Lechleiter was particularly proud that his team did not play a lead again. The Ulmer cost 29 points so far. “I think that’s done with today,” said Lechleiter. “That was my sixth game now and we had six games pressure”. His team could no longer shock, because Lechleiter was sure.
