In the week of the Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE), the docuseries Amsterdam Narcos will be released on the SkyShowtime streaming service. In it, the makers delve into the early days of the hashish trade under drug baron Klaas Bruinsma, the cocaine trade and the rise of ecstasy and electronic music in our capital during the 80s and 90s. One of the most important players from that time is Ilja Reiman, who is seen by many as the first gabber.
