Interruption at the Hurricane: Because of a staggering storm, that was Hurricane Festival 2025 interrupted on Sunday evening (June 22nd, 2025). Jan Böhmermann & Das Rto Ehrenfeld were at her last song, SDP had to cancel her appearance in the middle of the set.

The following information was published on the main screen: “Dear festival crowd, the festival is now interrupted because of a staggering storm. Please go in your car now! Think about it, you are most safely in the car! If there is still room for other people in your car, please switch on your warning indicator system. Thanks for your support!”
The festival management asks all visitors to go into the car for security reasons. On the part of the festival it was said that it was expected to resume at 9:45 p.m.

Festival manager Stephan Thanscheidt has the final press conference on June 22nd. started with a positive conclusion: “We can look back on three and a half wonderful days.” The Hurricane Festival had experienced a great, peaceful audience, which was relaxed with each other even at high temperatures. “We noticed that we have a music lover audience. The newcomers were also well received,” said Thanscheidt.
In total, the festival counted around 65,000 visitors this year – a result with which the organizers are satisfied. Thanscheidt does not see that the festival was not sold out this time: The band selection always follows the goal of covering all wishes as possible – with a large international name, national acts and an attractive supporting program. The fact that all desired artists are not available every year affect the ticket sales. There was a clear signal in the direction of the fans: the ticket prices should remain affordable.
