At the penitentiary institution (PI) Vught, about four hundred people demonstrate on Sunday afternoon. They want former lawyer Arno van Kessel released. Van Kessel would have been arrested in June for his role in a criminal network. Three years ago the former lawyer was already reprimanded because he had exceeded the rules of conduct of the legal profession. He was eventually deleted as a counselor. He was also a member of an organization that distributed disinformation about coronavaccinations.
About four to five hundred people are on Sunday afternoon in front of the PI in Vught. They wear white clothing, keep signs with the text ‘Free Arno’ and call texts such as ‘Arno Vrij, Arno free!’.
The police present said that the protesters have permission from the municipality to stand there, as long as they do not block the access roads of the prison.
Who is Arno van Kessel?
Arno van Kessel is a former lawyer of the Coronasceptic Organization Doctors for Truth. He himself was also a board member of this organization who spread misinformation over vaccinations during the Corona Pandemie.
The former lawyer is said to have been lifted on 11 June this year for his bed because he would be part of a criminal network. Six others were also arrested for this. This includes the Leeuwarder Courant and the Telegraph. Justice speaks of sovereigns, which would not recognize the authority of the Dutch government.
Sunday’s demonstrators disagree with Van Kessel’s arrest. On social media, after his arrest, united in a group called ‘Arno van Kessel Vrij’. That group consists of more than two thousand members.

Reason that he was removed from the register of lawyers would be that Van Kessel made a series of mistakes in labor conflicts. He worked incompetently and would “clearly have no knowledge of employment law,” De Telegraaf reports.
