Hundreds of motorcyclists said goodbye to the deceased Donny de Swart from Rijen on Saturday. The motorcyclist died last Saturday. His motorcycle club Demons MC Netherlands has proven ‘their brother’ a final honor by bringing him to his final resting place in a motor pest.
Motorcyclists were called upon to participate in the tribute via social media. At Clubhuis Magdat in the Heistraat in Rijen, about five hundred motorcyclists gathered at ten in the morning.
The street was trimmed with fences and it was full of engines. There was a farewell service in the clubhouse. Then a pick-up with the coffin and the motorcyclists left for the crematorium in Tilburg.
Many people wish the relatives and the motorcycle club strength. There were hundreds of responses to the Facebook message from the motorcycle club. Donny is remembered as a ‘real topper’, ‘a rebel and bon vivant’ and ‘die silly, but oh so sweet and loyal Donny’.
After the procession, the motorcyclist was cremated in a closed circle at two o’clock in the afternoon.
