After Daniel Peretz’s loan was canceled, Hamburger SV is looking for a new representative for Daniel Heuer Fernandes. As the “Hamburger Abendblatt” reports, Nicolas Kristof from SV Elversberg is a candidate for the Rothosen. Transfermarkt can confirm this report.

Kristof has been guarding the SVE goal since 2021 and experienced the march from the regional league to the Bundesliga relegation. This season, too, the goalkeeper is one of the top performers in Elversberg, who, with 15 goals conceded, have the best defense in the league after Schalke. Kristof played all 17 second division games and kept seven clean sheets. Last season, when the Saarland team failed in the relegation against Heidenheim, he kept a clean slate 13 times. In the latest market value update it climbed from 1.5 million to 1.8 million euros.

In Elversberg, Kristof’s contract is dated until 2027. The second-placed team has already lost a regular player in Younes Ebnoutalib to the Bundesliga this winter – Eintracht Frankfurt paid 8 million euros for the attacker. According to the report, HSV has a budget of 2 million euros, which was actually planned for a striker, but can be invested elsewhere after Damion Downs’ loan. Elversberg’s alternatives to Kristof, Tim Boss and Frank Lehmann, together play six second division games, so that sports director Nils-Ole Book could become active on the transfer market again.

In the summer, Fernandes won the duel for the place between the posts against Peretz, who was on loan from FC Bayern. The Israeli international’s loan was recently canceled and he moved to England to FC Southampton.
