Horst Hrubesch and Claus Costa have signed new contracts with Hamburger SV. In addition, the area of ​​responsibility of scouting manager Costa has been expanded. The “Red Pants” are hoping for a more intensive “interlocking with the youth sector” for the HSV professional team, as stated in a club statement. Costa’s new post is that of director of professional football.

The previous chief scout will continue to be responsible for strategic squad planning and scouting, but will also move closer to board member Jonas Boldt and be responsible for transfers, contract extensions and loan players, in close coordination with Boldt. For head coach Tim Walter, Costa should also be a close contact for the desired, better integration.
