The sports director put the Bundesliga suitability at just 50 percent. “We have to strengthen our team to have a chance to play a role in the Bundesliga. We have to do something for that,” Kuntz emphasized in the “double pass”.
Accordingly, the HSV should have a small change. “We have our favorite candidates in our shadow squad for all positions and also want to talk to the players who are at HSV about their perspective,” Kuntz continued, but excluded a major attack on the transfer market with the help of investor Klaus-Michael Kühne. “It is not our claim to call Mr. Kühne and ask him for coal. That would be pathetic.”
How much money the HSV can invest in new players is still open. However, the budget will almost double from 23 million to over 40 million euros. The higher TV funds make up a large part. However, the salaries of HSV professionals will also increase. “We do not immediately have the connection to unite like Mainz and Union Berlin,” Kuntz slowed too high expectations. “We have to be imaginative.” There are many considerations. “We want to play a good role in the league in the league in the medium term and in the long run.”
HSV must first clarify open personal details for Selke
First of all, the perspective of those responsible should go to the current squad: Who is the leap to the Bundesliga trusted and who is not? Who is looking for a new challenge? Who could import a transfer one year before the end of the contract? One of the candidates is the designated second division goalkeeper König Davie Selke (30). According to the “Sky”, his contract, contrary to other reports, has not automatically extended until 2026. Talks about his future have been going on since the beginning of the year.

It means a lot to me what people give me back.” However, the attacker should have better offers from both the Bundesliga and abroad. The “picture” puts the chances of staying at 50:50. Ludovit Reis (24) is also being courted. The midfielder is said to have an offer from the Club Bruges with which he could participate in the Champions League. If an extension does not exist, the HSV should probably make him money.
The players with 2026 ending contract also include promotion hero Ransford Königsdörffer (23). Talks should be held promptly with him. In the Bundesliga, its qualities could come into their own again, which is why the HSV should probably rely on an extension. But questionable how Königsdörffer himself sees his future. He had emphasized that he only wanted to worry after the season. Right -back William Mikelbrencis (21) should also be extended.
The view of the loan players seems more clear. Marco Richter (27, Mainz) and Adedire Mebude (20, Westerlo) will leave HSV again. Adam Karabec (21) would be happy to keep those responsible, according to the “BILD”, the purchase option should be 4.2 million euros plus bonuses. Too much for the HSV that strives for new negotiations with Sparta Prague. It is still unclear whether the FIFA special regulation again reaches Ukraine for central defenders Dennis Hadzikadunic (26) in the course of the Russian war of aggression or he has to return to Rostov.
