In the 2: 2 (1: 2) Schalke striker Kenan Karaman saw the red card in the 3. minute. It was hardly to be grasped that it needed a video evidence and Karaman also complained: the full throttle tackle on the center line at the middle line of HSV midfielder Jonas Meffert definitely did not allow any other decision.

Nevertheless, the royal blue took the lead through Ron Schallenberg (15th), but before the change of sides, Emir Sahiti took a double strike (41. And 43.) for the turn of the guests. They then looked like the safe winner for a long time, but in the 81st minute the Schalke ultimately deservedly equalized by Moussa Sylla.

The Schalke showed an impressive combative performance over the entire game. Apparently, with his completely exaggerated use, Karaman also wanted to put a sign in this direction early on, but it was extremely damaged by his team.

Nevertheless, the HSV initially struggled with the new game situation and could have fallen behind earlier. Paul Seguin served in the 8th minute with a high ball behind the Hamburg chain Tobias Mohr, who freely played Moussa Sylla. But the goalkeeper of the short shot from Hamburg’s keeper Daniel Heuer Fernandes, who cleverly shortened the angle.

It was also Mohr who, after a quarter of an hour, initiated the 1-0, his cross used SCHALLENBERG. After that, the pressure of the Hamburgers got bigger, but Ransford Königsdörffer and Jean-Luc Dompé initially failed. But then Schalke let the defense work grind on the outer positions, Sahiti then used the freedom on the second post for his two goals.

Both scenes were checked for minutes from the Var for minutes, and it was recognizable relatively quickly that a royal blue defender had moved out of cover too late.

HSV supporters ensure Interruption

Despite the leadership, some HSV supporters apparently had the need to endanger the victory of their own team. After an hour they burned a nationwide fireworks in the guest curve and also shot a few neon rockets on the field. Referee Harm Osmers interrupted the game – but then continued to play for a few minutes.

The break in the game may still harm the Hamburgers. As a result, not much went forward, instead, Schalke hit out again: Mohr again hit an excellent flank, Adrian Gantenbein headed the ball again in the middle, where Sylla actually got the balance.
