After only 70 seconds, the outcry was great: from then on ten Schalke demanded everything from HSV. The league leader left points.

Hamburger SV missed to expand the lead at the top of the table of the 2nd Bundesliga. The “red pants” did not get over a 2: 2 (2: 1) tarting on Schalke-even though they were outnumbered for a long time. Because Schalke’s captain Kenan Karaman saw the red card after a rough foul in the second minute.

However, the home team initially took the lead by Ron Schallenberg (15th minute). Shortly before the break, the HSV found the game better and turned the game within two minutes thanks to a double strike by Emir Sahiti (41. And 43.). Schalkes Moussa Sylla scored 2-2 final score and secured the point for the table.

However, there were still two excitement: the guest fans ignited fireworks in the second half. Referee Harms Osmers interrupted the duel for a few minutes (you can read more about this here). In addition, after the final whistle, violent scenes were on the part of the Hamburgers: Jean-Luc Dompé and William Mikelbrencis had clashed. Both players had to be held back.

Hamburg’s lead over the relegation place is five points – on Sunday the 1. FC Magdeburg could jump to third place with a win and shorten the gap to HSV to four points.

Despite the red card, Schalke was initially the more dangerous team. The HSV had a lot of possession of the ball, but Schallenberg struck the hosts. Hamburg struggled and looked patiently for gaps, but only at the end of the first round there were rooms.

Sahiti equalized with a head, shortly afterwards he used a counterattack to the lead. In the view of the video images, the goal counted. But as a result, the HSV missed making more out of its majority. That revenge: Schalke remained persistent, striker Sylla rewarded the hosts with his header.
