Halmed Omari (25), HAMBurger SV, is apparently faced with another transfer for the defensive. As the “Hamburger Abendblatt” and the “Bild” report, right-back Giorgi Gocholeishvili will soon join Bundesliga promoters. The 24-year-old comes loan for a season plus purchase option from Shakhtar Donetsk.
Like Omari, Gocholishvili completes his medical check in Hamburg this Wednesday. Following the signing of the contract, the two newcomers should travel to the training camp in Mallorca. For Gocholeishvili, who still has a working paper at the top Ukrainian top club until the end of 2027, it would be the second loan in a row. Last season he ran for FC Copenhagen, for which he played 33 games.
For Donetsk, Gocholishvili has 40 missions, in January 2023 he was hired for a transfer of one million euros from his homeland of Georgia. At the HSV, whose stadium he already knows from the European Championship from the group game against the Czech Republic last year, but was not used at the time, Gocholishvili is to take over the place of William Mikelbrencis (21) as a right -wing defensive rail player. Silvan Hefti (27) can also be found in the squad for the position. By the end of the transfer period on September 1st, one of the latter two should therefore leave the club.
