A walk through the shopping streets of Zoetermeer now feels even better, because some of them have already been decorated for Christmas. From the Stadshart to the Dorpsstraat and Oosterheem, you see twinkling lights everywhere.

Sinterklaas has yet to arrive, but Zoetermeer’s retailers are already preparing for Christmas. In the shopping centers, people have been busy hanging streamers, lights, garlands and other Christmas decorations.

New lighting in the City Heart

Do you remember the garlands, deer and huge Christmas ball on the Stadhuisplein in the Stadshart? These have all been replaced with new decorations. In the Burgemeester Leeuwenpassage three illuminated hearts hang high above your head. There is a large Christmas tree on Promenade Square that you can walk through and there are new deer on Cadenza Square. Illuminated snowflakes and gifts hang throughout the shopping streets.
