The club’s logo remains the same and the indoor football players play their home games just like last season at Sportcentrum Vredehof in Hoorn. In the first season after the merger, Hovocubo/Veerhuys reached the quarterfinals of the play-offs, in which the team was eliminated by the Amsterdam Os Lusitanos.
The objective of the club is to join the top of the Eredivisie again. Hovocbuo was the last national champion in 2022. Under the name ‘t Hoornsche Veerhuys, that club with three national titles knew the heyday at the end of the last century. “Our ambition is to be a healthy club with a broad regional appearance and opportunities for the youth to flow. From there we want to compete again for the title,” said Diaz.
For the coming season, HV Hoorn has strengthened itself with Jordin Koel who appears from HZV/Het Vennewater. Koel captured the championship of the first division with the club from Heiloo and became top scorer there. Cedric Wilson (Scagha ’66) and the FC Marlène-Trio Floris Kemps, Stijt Kee and Matz Mathot are also going to play football in Hoorn. From the Amsterdam VNS United, Wassim and Redouan Bousklaoui are reinforcing the selection of trainer Khalid Elbaz.
