House prices rise more sharply than those of apartments in Flemish provincial capitals

Buying a house in the Flemish provincial capitals became on average 8.4 percent more expensive last year, while the price for an apartment rose less quickly: by 6.2 percent on average. This is apparent from the Notary Barometer of the Federation of Notaries (Fednot) about real estate in Antwerp, Bruges, Ghent, Hasselt and Leuven. In 2020, the average price increase for a house was still 6.8 percent and for an apartment 7.5 percent.
