Hoofddorper (43) leaves a car wreck behind in the McDonald’s parking lot after a collision

A 43-year-old motorist left his heavily damaged car in the parking lot of the McDonald’s restaurant on the Vuursteen in Hoofddorp after an accident last night.

The car wreck was found around 1:30 a.m., but the driver was nowhere to be seen in any fields or roads, police and military police saw.

Because no other damage was found in the parking lot, it was suspected that the driver drove on after the accident and left his car at the restaurant.

‘hit the crash barrier’

“The motorist had a single-vehicle accident elsewhere and drove on,” a police spokesperson confirms today. The exact location of the accident is not shared, “but he hit a guardrail somewhere.”

The police have now established the identity of the motorist and have visited the Hoofddorper at home. “He has not been arrested,” said the spokesperson. The wreck has been salvaged.
