The countdown for the Niedersachsensenderby is running. In two weeks, Eintracht Braunschweig welcomes arch-rivals Hannover 96. The tickets for BTSV fans are already sold out.

There was a huge rush for tickets for the Niedersachsensenderby between Eintracht Braunschweig and Hannover 96. Just a few days after the start of advance sales, the home quota has already been completely exhausted. Eintracht announced this on Monday. Home tickets for the duel between the arch-rivals on October 26th (1:30 p.m.) are no longer available in advance.

However, it is still possible for guests from Hanover to get tickets for the derby. Because: Tickets for the guest block are sold via Hannover 96 – and the sales start there is set for Wednesday, October 15th, 10 a.m. For standing room in the guest area, 20.90 euros are charged. A seat costs 30.80 euros. All tickets go on sale in the Hanoverians’ online shop. There will be no free sale.

In the past, there had been repeated riots and, above all, the setting off of pyrotechnics during games between the two Lower Saxony rivals. Last season, the number of guest fans allowed at both games was drastically reduced.

The upcoming derby is now scheduled to take place again in an almost full Eintracht stadium. The DFB plans to have a reduced guest fan contingent for high-risk games, so that the arena on Hamburger Straße will not be completely sold out. The police are foregoing the personalized guest fan tickets that were initially considered because, according to the officials, Eintracht has significantly improved its security concept for the explosive second division duel.

However, the police made it clear that they reserved the right to take further action in the future if incidents occurred again. “If there are riots in the stadium despite these stricter security measures, further measures will have to be taken in the future. This can then range from personalized ticketing to the exclusion of away fans,” says a statement from the Braunschweig Police Department.
