Tymoteusz Puchacz is likely to leave Holstein Kiel this summer. But not back to his Polish homeland, but apparently to Azerbaijan. Actually, everything looked like a change to his ex-club GKS Katowice, and the 26-year-old left-back is said to have successfully completed a medical check before the Poland before the Deadline Day in Ekstraklasa was rethinking and Puchacz took a plane to Azerbaijan.

Katowice was ready to borrow Puchacz with a purchase option. But he decided against it at short notice that he is said to have rejected several offers from abroad beforehand. Understandably, this caused a lot of trouble with the Polish first division club, reports the “Kieler Nachrichten”. The reason for the change of heart is a more financially and sporty lucrative offer. The Sabah FK is traded as the new employer. The current table of Premyer Liqa is the reigning cup winner and took part in the qualification for the Europa League and then to the Conference League, but could not qualify.
Puchacz came to Kiel from Union Berlin last summer for 2 million euros. However, he did not play a major role in the storks, played only twelve games and was borrowed from Plymouth Argyle in the second half of England. His contract with the relegated Bundesliga runs until 2028. In Azerbaijan, the transfer window is open until September 11th.
