BizarreWe sometimes hear that self-driving cars are the future. Well, in San Francisco, the future has already begun. This leads to bizarre situations, according to video images in which a police officer wants to pull a self-driving taxi to the side for a check. “There is no one in it,” it sounds. Although the images have been circulating since April 1, it is not a joke. According to ‘The Guardian’ and the British public broadcaster BBC, the agent wanted to pull a taxi from the company ‘Cruise’ to the side because of a problem with the headlights. At the red traffic light, an officer gets out of a police car and goes to the taxi. “There’s no one in it, this is crazy”, you hear a bystander say.

The officer feels the driver’s door, but there is no response. Then the self-driving taxi seems to dash off. But once past the intersection, the car stops and puts on its four turn signals. Drivers often do this when they are standing on the side of the road and there is no visible parking space.

On the other side of the intersection, the officers continued to check. Meanwhile, bystanders laugh at themselves. “Hilarious,” it sounds.

The Cruise company, which is part of General Motors, reports that their car stopped and then drove to the nearest safe location. According to the company, their autonomous vehicles are equipped with sensors that recognize the flashing lights and sirens of police vehicles so that they come to a stop.
