Turkish Basketball Federation (TBF) President Hidayet Türkoğlu published a message before the 2023-2024 basketball season.
“It has now become a tradition for a Turkish team to take part in the finals of Europe’s most prestigious tournaments.”
In his message on the federation’s website, Türkoğlu said, “As we welcome the 2023-2024 season in our basketball leagues, our passion and love for basketball gives us the strength to implement our projects that will add value to Turkish basketball in the new season. Both the quality of basketball and the brand value in both women and men.” “We all missed the excitement and struggle in our leagues that have proven themselves. In the 2023-2024 season, the level of competition is extremely high, and competitions that will give pleasure to the viewers are waiting for basketball fans.” he said.
Hidayet Türkoğlu stated that Turkish teams competing in Europe in recent years have achieved very important successes and added:

This season, 8 of our women’s and 11 men’s teams will represent our country in Europe.
