Hessnatur now also offers second-hand clothing

The sustainable clothing supplier Hessnatur now also has a second-hand platform. The company is now selling used clothing in a separate area of its online store. The Berlin start-up company Reverse.supply, which specializes in recommerce solutions, will take on “all operational and technical tasks relating to the resale of the products,” said Hessnatur on Tuesday.

Interested customers can now register their used Hessnatur products and send them to the clothing supplier. “The goods are checked there and offered for sale online. As soon as this has taken place, the previously agreed amount will be transferred,” the company explained. If a garment sent in is “too worn to sell”, it will be recycled. In this case, the previous owners will receive a voucher for the online shop.

Co-CEO Andrea Homann explained the reasons for entering the second-hand trade: “The longer the life cycle of a garment, the more sustainable it is,” she explained in a statement. “That’s why fashion at Hessnatur is thought of as a cycle right from the start: with high-quality, durable natural fibers and timeless design – the best prerequisites for more than one person to enjoy it for a long time.”
