Disappointing second division season

Hertha BSC is significantly behind his own expectations this season. As part of a restructuring, a new sports manager could take over at the old lady in summer. As the “kicker” reports, there is intensive contact with Jonas Boldt, the former sports director of Hamburger SV.
According to the “Tagesspiegel”, there is said to have been a meeting with the 43-year-old that another is scheduled. What suggests that Boldt can imagine the task with the capitals. The previous managing director Thomas E. Herrich, who is already criticized anyway, has to worry about his job at Hertha.
Sports director Benjamin Weber and Andreas Neuendorf, director of the academy and license player area, are not affected, especially since they were commissioned to plan the new season. Boldt would definitely start above the direct level, it is said. The former Leverkusen manager switched to HSV in 2019, but missed the North Germans back to the Bundesliga in five years, which is why he had to make room for Stefan Kuntz in 2024.
Hertha BSC only took 12th place in the 2nd league shortly before the end of the season and has already changed the coach. With 49.15 million euros, the Berliners have the fourth most valuable squad in the lower house, and they face a greater change in the team in view of the league.
