In the clubs, the planning for the coming season is in full swing. All important news in the transfer ticker.

This year’s transfer summer has it all. This is because the clubs are allowed to sign players for the first time in two different periods. Due to the club World Cup, the first transfer window for the participating clubs was open from June 1st to June 10th. The regular transfer window then extends from July 1st to September 1st.

Hertha BSC has hired Paul Seguin from Liga Rival FC Schalke 04. The 30 -year -old midfielder signed a contract at the Berlin club from the 2nd Bundesliga, which is valid until June 30, 2027. According to Sebastian Grönning (FC Ingolstadt), Leon Jensen (Karlsruher SC) and Niklas Kolbe (SSV Ulm 1846), Seguin is the fourth new obligation of the Hertha this summer.

“Paul combines ball and passport security, a high understanding of the game as well as a lot of experience and routine in the 2nd Bundesliga, with which he will strengthen our team. We are therefore very happy about his signature,” said sports director Benjamin Weber.

Trainer Stefan Leitl gets a dream player with Seguin. Both had already worked together at SpVgg Greuther Fürth and made it to the Bundesliga. They also strive for this with the Hertha. For the son of the former GDR national player Wolfgang Seguin, the capital club had to pay a transfer fee, he had had a year with the Schalkers.

Seguin completed 25 games last season, in which he scored two goals. He also played in the Bundesliga: Spicy at the Hertha Local Rival Union Berlin in the 2022/2023 season and half a year at VfL Wolfsburg in the 2018/2019 season. From January 1, 2019 to June 2022, Seguin played in Fürth.

The negotiations between AC Milan and Bayer Leverkusen to change from Granit Xhaka go into the decisive phase. According to the “Gazzetta Dello Sport”, the Italians offer a transfer of ten million euros for the Swiss international. In order to convince the Bundesliga club, Milan supposedly wants to involve defenders Malick Thiaw into the transfer.

According to Italian media, Milan’s new sports director Igli Tare, who used to play in the Bundesliga, traveled to Leverkusen to personally conduct the talks. Xhaka’s contract with the Rhinelands runs until 2028, according to “Gazzetta dello Sport” Milan offers him a higher salary.

After four years, Ludovit Reis is apparently over at the HSV. As the Belgian medium of “Het Laatse Nieuws” reports, the Bundesliga promoted and the Belgian Club Club Bruges have agreed on a transfer fee of six million euros. Both clubs have been negotiating for weeks about a change, now the enforcement is probably imminent.
