Heroic passes against Navi

Heroic secured the group victory in the Counter-Strike: Global Offensive tournament Blast Premier Fall Groups. However, Natus Vincere’s revamped line-up made life difficult for the team.

“It was difficult, I won’t fool myself,” said Heroic captain Casper “cadiaN” Møller in an interview after the game. “In many situations we knew where they were coming, but our individual decisions weren’t good enough.”

At the start, Heroic easily eliminated BIG and in the first duel also Navi with 2:0. In the rematch in the group finals, Oleksandr “s1mple” Kostylev’s team fared much better.

Especially on the second map, Navi was in good shape, but the victory went to Heroic with 2:1. The Danes thus secured participation in the autumn finals alongside FaZe Clan and Ninjas in Pajamas, who surprisingly beat major winners Team Vitality 2-0.

BIG initially cleared Astralis out of the way in the lower bracket, but narrowly lost to Navi on two tight maps and now has to prove itself in the Play-In Stage. G2 Esports, who suffered bankruptcies against Team Liquid and FaZe, also clearly missed out on winning the group.
