The French luxury brand Hermès moves within Florence.

The new, expanded and laid store is located in the city center, on the corner via Degli Strozzi and Via dei Vecchietti, as Hermès announced last week. The store, which is housed in a Renaissance Palace with a facade from 1578, celebrates the connection between the art of craftsmanship, the creativity of the house and the city’s cultural identity.

The store extends over two floors and presents the entire product range of the brand. In the main area, which impresses with the characteristic Faubourg pattern, the women’s and men’s silk collections and jewelry are exhibited. Hand -painted lines lead through the living collection and the men’s area. To the right of the entrance is the perfume and beauty area, while the upper floor is dedicated to the women’s shoe and equestrian collection collections as well as ready-to-wear. There are also areas for jewelry, watches and leather goods.

The store, the areas of which are connected by marble gears, was designed by the architectural agency RDAI. With a combination of stucco, marble and tailor-made carpets, Italy’s renowned design heir is paid tribute, according to the message.

The decor is enriched by a selection of works of art from the Émile Hermès collection. This includes a presentation of the “Carré Le Pégase d’Hermès” by Christian Renonciat. In the “Hermès Collection of Contemporary Photographs” collection, nature shots by the Italian photographer Paola de Pietri and American photographer Alex Maclean can be seen. In the area of leather goods, “Paperole” also hangs-a specially commissioned wooden panel by the British-Japanese artist Christian Hidaka, which is a modern interpretation of a carriage with a paper makery driver who holds the reins in his hand.
