Yle journalist Arto Nyberg put his work clothes up for sale on social media this week.

In October, it was reported that Nyberg’s title program Arto Nyberg ends after 20 years. Arto Nyberg -the last episode of the program will be shown on Sunday, December 22.

So Nyberg put his two little jackets and 16 handkerchiefs up for sale as “unnecessary” to the highest bidder.

The deals with Nyberg were made by writer Christian Rönnbacka. Iltalehti reached Rönnbacka when the goods had already changed hands and some of Nyberg’s work clothes were already on their way to a new home.

Rönnbacka says that he appreciated Nyberg’s “little gentlemanly gesture towards the client”, as he interpreted the sales announcement.

The size of the coats reported by Nyberg was also somewhat on point. Rönnbacka predicts that the little jackets will suit him, at least if he “gets in shape for the summer”.

Christian Rönnbacka had time to stop by Radio Rock after shopping, and the channel’s host Jone Nikula captured a picture of him wearing a Nyberg jacket. Jon Nikula

– Out of love for sport, I made an offer. In addition, I have always sincerely appreciated him and yes, it hurts me to see such a program end, Rönnbacka commented.

He reveals that he would have liked to be interviewed by Nyberg himself on the program for a long time. Rönnbacka has mentioned to his publisher that an invitation to the program would override everything else.

There was no time to invite the interviewee to the bench, but on Tuesday Rönnbacka was able to meet Nyberg in connection with the clothing stores. The clothes changed hands in the end for 360 euros, and luckily the jackets still fit Rönnbacka.

The author praises Nyberg as an iron professional in his work. In addition, he apologized to the person involved for “walking into the scene like a stray bird”.

Even though the background of the deals was the sad ending of the program, Rönnbacka said that they were done with a smile on both of their faces. According to him, the clothes ended up in a good home and hard-wearing.

– Here everything fell into place and it was certainly a pleasure to meet briefly. It’s great to get involved in the story like this.

– Now I can price the library gigs as brand new, because they can be marketed, that tonight Arto Nyberg’s jacket and the writer Christian Rönnbacka, he carves.

The author Rönnbacka admits that he has other so-called auction past behind him. In the back, he even has such purchases that Heli-wife wishes that the auction website Rönnbacka would no longer be used.

– Sometimes I might shout something and everyone has not always been so justified. I have now respected the wife’s wish.

He says that he had previously called a caravan from Kokkola, which he went to pick up at home in connection with a concert trip.

After one vacation trip, it turned out that the caravan life was not to Rönnbacka’s liking, and at the moment the caravan is waiting for spring and a new owner under the blanket of snow.

– After that purchase, I received feedback and accepted it, Rönnbacka says.
