Helmarit started the European Championship style.

Victory from Iceland also released the atmosphere at the team’s lodging in Geneva. Happy laughter and speech dumb fill in common spaces as players enjoy their spare time.

– We have a players’ lounge with a ping pong table. We play card, board games and go for a swim or walk, Oona Siren tells Iltalehti.

Finland has reserved the Geneva InterContinental Hotel for its entire tournament. UEFA demands that the teams stay in the playground at least the night before the match, so the team will make gigs in both Thun and Saturday in Zion (game against Norway on Sunday).

However, after the match, we will come back to Geneva immediately.

– Time has not become long because we have sometimes traveled to games and the landscape has changed. But hopefully there is a long tournament ahead. Certainly it will happen at some point, Siren continues.

Keeper Anna Koivunen It also emphasizes that players have been given the opportunity to close the door and be in their own circumstances.

– We’re pretty much with the team. This is good hanging out, eating well and focusing on the next match, Koivunen begins.

– It has not yet become hotel death. We have had quite a bit of our own time to calm down and call the family. It’s been a big plus.

All players have their own rooms. The Football Association wants to offer the team the best possible rest.

– We have a really good hotel. It takes time to prepare for games, workouts or recover, Siren says.

In Koivunen’s opinion, the tournament has already offered many memorable moments so far.

– hanging out with a team with the most nice. Everyone is pretty awesome and I enjoy this team super good.

– I’m a social person, so I’m most often seen here in the midst of others.
