Three people were killed in a serious accident in South Rotterdam on Monday morning, including a 36-year-old Helmonder. That has been announced by the police. The accident happened just before six o’clock in the morning on the Groene Kruisweg near the A15 at the Charlois exit. Two cars are believed to have collided head-on.
The other victims are a 35-year-old woman from Spijkenisse and a 7-year-old girl from the same place. A fourth person was rushed to hospital after the accident. He was later arrested. It concerns a 28-year-old man from The Hague. It is not yet known how the vehicles collided with each other.
The police are still investigating that. The accident site was cordoned off for a while.
