Hélène Hendriks will decimate Renze Klamer: ‘Also Sunday show’

Hélène Hendriks is going to completely destroy Renze Klamer now that she is also going to make a talk show on Sunday evenings all year round. “Yes, Hélène on Sunday. Hahaha, no!”

What an incredible setback for Renze Klamer. The talk show host, who works diligently to build authority, faces extremely fierce competition. Competition that is so threatening that his RTL 4 talk show Renze on Sunday is at stake. Whose? None other than Hélène Hendriks, the biggest female TV star of SBS 6.

The Orange Sunday

Hélène is promoted after the enormous success of De Oranjezomer and De Oranjewinter. Not only will she continue to alternate with the men from Today Inside, but she will also have a regular talk show on Sunday evenings during the other periods of the year. “Yes, yes, yes, Hélène on Sunday!”, she jokes at the table Today Inside.

No, she doesn’t do that to Renze. “No, I think that’s really embarrassing. No indeed. On March 10 we start with a talk show: De Oranjezondag. We were looking for a name and I thought: this is great.”

René van der Gijp thinks it is ‘nice’ and Johan Derksen says: “Yes, very nice.”

‘Very nice!’

What time exactly will the program be broadcast? Hélène: “From 9:30 PM to 10:30 PM.”

Johan: “Prime time straight away? The aim is certainly better numbers than us again?”

Hélène: “Hahaha. I don’t think that will work on Sunday!”

René: “RTL does that too, right?”

Johan: “That’s why she does it!”

Hélène: “Yes, exactly.”

English football

Johan thinks it is a good addition to the Sunday TV offering. “Well, that’s nice, then I can watch English football afterwards. A really nice Sunday evening.”

Wilfred Genee: “But in May you will take over from us again. Will you continue on Sunday or will that stop?”

Hélène: “No, it’s until De Oranjezomer. The Orange Sunday turns into the Orange Summer and then you go again.”

René: “And when we’re done, will you go again for five days? Oh, that’s nice.”

Will it run?

Hélène hopes it will be a success story. “I’m curious whether it will run on Sunday. I do not know.”

Johan: “You have success hanging over you.”

Wilfred: “People like horizontal programming.”

Hélène: “We’ll see. I like doing it.”

Logical step

Today Inside expert Victor Vlam thinks this is a good step. “Logical step. High viewing figures are almost guaranteed. In addition, it is a way to allow Helene to develop into a fully-fledged alternative to Today Inside. That is useful with a 75-year-old star,” he writes X.

One Job then says: “It was devised because which of the three will not continue because Wendy van Dijk has disappeared. That would actually start on March 10.”

Victor: “Oh yes, of course. Makes sense.”
