Hélène Hendriks hoped for a long time that the riot would blow over, but now she has responded to the fuss about Jack van Gelder’s boycott. What turns out? “We preferred Rutger Castricum!”
According to Johan Derksen, it is a capital mistake not to put Jack van Gelder at the table at De Oranjewinter, because Hélène Hendriks’ talk show is now as boring as nits. It is full of chatter, while Jack was really a man with statements and caused a commotion, according to the VI moustache. Who did he think was behind the Jack exit? Talpa.
Hélène speaks
Well, that turns out not to be true, because after more than a week (!), Hélène still speaks out about boycotting Jack. And now it becomes clear why she kept silent about his exit for so long. She cannot hide behind anyone, because Hélène herself did not want him there during this edition. Sort of what everyone already thought.
Hélène chimes in The Orange Winter to Rutger Castricum: “I would like to tell you something about that. I have said it before, but of course we have started the Oranjewinter and that is two weeks. Two weeks of the Oranjewinter. And we have chosen, because you were absent for a very long time, to let you take your turn.”
No Jack
Rutger’s presence was therefore consciously chosen over Jack’s, according to Hélène. “And to see how the others, such as Raymond and Thomas, are doing. That is what we have chosen and that means that Jack will not be there this edition, because – as I have said before – he is back from the summer.”
And then Hélène says something very telling: “In what frequency, we always do that in consultation, of course, but that is the simple story. Here we go.”
So that sounds like there is a very small chance that Jack will ever get a seat there again.
Don’t swear
Hélène gives her explanation, because gossip was circulating about Jack’s behavior behind the scenes. “So he doesn’t swear behind the scenes? He actually mainly swears at me at the table. Hahahahaha,” Rutger chuckles.
The presenter: “He does that in front of the screens! Me too, by the way! And then it’s fine. No, but that’s just said, because there were all kinds of wild stories, so that’s it. Fine.”
And those wild stories about Hélène dropping Jack hard? So it turns out that they are correct…
