Heidenheim extended with top scorer Tim Kleindienst

25 second division goals in 2022/23

Goal scorer Tim Kleindienst has extended his contract with 1. FC Heidenheim by two more years. The 27-year-old is now tied to the Bundesliga newcomer until 2027. As the most successful goal-getter of the past second division season with 25 goals, Kleindienst played a key role in his club’s rise. The “foosball” also speculates about a stately exit clause in the new contract.

“I have always emphasized how comfortable I have always felt and still feel at FCH and in Heidenheim. This constellation just fits, so I’m all the more happy about this contract extension,” said the offensive man and spoke of the “biggest success in our club’s history”. “Now it’s time to continue this success story on a whole new level in terms of football, on which I really want to prove myself with FCH. We’ll throw everything in every game to stay up. I see my task as vice-captain as leading the way in this major challenge in the Bundesliga – the anticipation is simply indescribable.”

CEO Holger Sanwald explained: “This is a fantastic signal to our entire FCH family. We will only be able to survive in the Bundesliga if we continue to live the team spirit that has always characterized us. The fact that Tim, who naturally aroused great interest from other clubs due to his outstanding performances last season, is extending his contract with us early, underscores this even more.”
