In the Russian Kamjatka, Tsunami waves were warned on Sunday after a major earthquake off the coast. Shortly thereafter, the Volcano Krasjeninnikov burst on the Oost-Russian peninsula for the first time in at least 475 years. Scientists from the National Institute of Volcanology and Seismology state via Telegram that the earthquake and the volcanic eruption are probably interrelated. It is already the second heavy earthquake in eastern Russia in one week.
