The bike shooter (41) was on the run for several hours – now the police have caught him!
The 41-year-old is an urgent suspect and has connections to the family of the 35-year-old woman, said a police spokesman at the crime scene on Friday evening.
▶︎ The fact: In the afternoon, an initially unknown man shot a moving BMW 3 Series from the sidewalk in the city center. The bullet went through the window on the driver’s side and hit the driver (35) in the head.
Terrible: Her three children (between 8 and 12) were in the car and had to watch the horror act, but fortunately remained unharmed. After the shot, the car crashes into a bollard.
According to initial information, the woman was injured in the jaw area. A first responder was able to apply a pressure bandage. The woman was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
The three children and several first responders were treated by an emergency chaplain. After the fact, according to eyewitness reports, he drove away on his bicycle.
︎ The police assume that the woman was targeted, according to the spokeswoman. The police have started investigations at the scene.
