Head of Sustainability Nanda Bergstein says goodbye to Tchibo after 14 years.
She joined the Hamburg retailer in December 2007 and took on the position of Senior Manager Corporate Responsibility, according to her Linkedin profile. After serving in two other positions in this field, she became Director of Corporate Responsibility in 2018.
The retailer has now communicated the farewell in connection with a new episode of the Tchibo podcast “5 cups a day”, in which she speaks to Fairtrade founder Dieter Overath, who is stepping down from his position as CEO of Fairtrade Germany after more than 30 years.
“I’ve now been at Tchibo for 14 years, and I came to the realization that we have to think about business models ecologically and socially right from the start,” said Bergstein. “I would advise all employees who are committed to sustainable solutions: You will always be in a conflict, think about the matter as egolessly as possible, be courageous, push the limits and have fun! Because despite all the problems, we have to keep our happiness.”
