The Grossglockner, Austria’s highest mountain at 3,798 metres, became the scene of a tragedy last weekend. Hardly anyone can imagine what a couple has gone through just before reaching the top. These were their last hours together, because only the man (36) survived the mountain journey. While he had descended to raise the alarm, his partner (33) died of hypothermia. According to Austrian media, the Public Prosecution Service is now investigating the case for possible culpable homicide.
