HCAW is in the final of the European Cup tonight. The Dutch champion from Bussum was too strong for Amsterdam Pirates in the semi-final: 4-3. The opponent for HCAW is Parma from Italy, which was too strong for Bonn Capitals (13-3).
The North Holland get-together remained exciting until the end of the game. In the first two innings, the Pirates took a comfortable three-run lead. HCAW didn’t let up and came back to 3-1 and even 3-2.
Max Draijer scored the tying run (3-3) in the eighth inning and that score didn’t change in the last inning. An extension was necessary and Bob van der Meer struck. As a result, HCAW will face Parma tonight at 6 PM. Earlier in the day, Pirates battles Bonn for the bronze.
