The Handball Bundesliga (HBL) will also be using the new streaming platform from S Nation Media in the future.
The company, which was co-founded by former DFL boss Christian Seifert, is expected to receive the broadcasting rights to all games in the 1st and 2nd leagues and the DHB Cup from the 2023/24 season.
It was already announced at the beginning of May that the games of the Volleyball Bundesliga (VBL) would be shown on S Nation Media in the future. The same applies to the Basketball Bundesliga (BBL) and the Table Tennis Bundesliga.
“We are extremely pleased about the great trust that the partner leagues have placed in us,” said Seifert: “Long-term agreements with four professional leagues are an excellent starting point for our goal of giving attractive sport beyond football a bigger stage and more media coverage than ever to bid before.”
After final talks, the final signing of the contracts for “all national media rights” of HBL for six seasons should take place “promptly”, according to the company’s announcement.
