HBL, handball: SG Flensburg-Handewitt ends dry spell

Handball Bundesliga team SG Flensburg-Handewitt landed their longed-for first away win of the season in their fifth attempt.

The three-time champion won at HC Erlangen 27:22 (16:12). It was the fourth league defeat in a row for the hosts.

Kay Smits and Emil Jakobsen each scored seven goals for the SG, which continued its comeback in the table with 14:6 points. However, the sovereign leader Füchse Berlin (20:0) has already taken off.

Bergische HC recorded their third win in a row with a 33:30 (14:14) win against FA Göppingen. Both teams remain in the second half of the table.
